Solotuša Mountain House

Conclusion of the Municipal Council 20.03.2018. year, the building next to the school in Solotusha, measuring 96 square meters in size, is allocated for use by the Tara Mountaineering Club for its conversion into a smaller mountaineering home. The property is well preserved exterior and roofing but requires thorough work on floors, walls, ceilings, replacement of joinery, replacement of plumbing and electrical installations.

The position of the future mountaineering lodge is exceptional, in the valley of the Solotushka river, and only 3km away from the medieval castle Solotnik. Solotusha itself is an exceptional landscape on the slopes of the Tara, which provides the opportunity for various hiking disciplines, and especially for sport climbing.

By the way, the Municipality of Bajina Bašta is simultaneously working to increase the attractiveness of the Solotnik castle as a tourist micro-destination, through the work on conservation and adaptation projects of this extremely attractive medieval archaeological site.

As there is a noticeable lack of this type of accommodation in the eastern part of Tara National Park, the club will quickly work on the adaptation of the building it has been used to provide in the same, as short as possible, conditions for staying at the level of multi-bed hostel rooms.

See you at Solotuša!
